Great Love! (in English)

This is something that has been in my mind for a while. I don't know why it remains, but I decided to share it with you anyway.



What I want to share here with you is a parable about our relationship with God and Jesus.



This girl who was giving me a discipleship training? one-on-one bible study? told me this parable when I was still such a baby Christian.





Imagine;



You are a bride who is going to have a marriage ceremony very soon.



You are wearing a beautiful white dress.



A small girl is running toward you.



This girl has spaghetti sauce all over her mouth.



Can you pick her up and cuddle her on the spot?





What do you think?? Can you do that?



I think that most of us can't do it because the spaghetti sauce may stain the wedding dress.



At least, if I were the bride, I hesitate to hold her with spaghetti sauce on her face.




In this parable, the bride is God, who is so pure.



The little girl is us, human beings.




Just like the bride can't hold the little girl until her face is wiped away,




it is neccesary for us to be cleansed from our sins to be embraced by God.




And the person who wiped away the sauce (our sins) is Jesus!



Because Jesus paid for our sins (cleaned our face), We can have a relationship with God ( We can be embraced by God.)




You may think, it is not difficult to wipe the sauce on our face.




But it is certainly not easy to die on the cross to forgive our sins, is it?




Who can say "I will do it!" ?




In the first place, we don't have right to do it as much as we can't.



The only person who could take that role was Jesus, the only son of God.




But you have to know this; as known from the Bible, even Jesus didn't want to die on the cross.




He was afraid. He didn't want to do that.



But He prayed, and He followed His Father's will.



It was beacause Jesus loves His Father, and also loved us!



Of course, God didn't want His only son to die on the cross. (No fathers want their son to do the same, right?)


But even so, God sent His only son to pay for our sins.




When you think of all these things, don't you feel that God really loves us?
